Experience
Philadelphia Housing Authority
The sole designer in a five person Communications Department, serving 80,000 residents, and 1,400 employees. Working with the copywriter and CEO I create the annual report for both PHA and the non profit PhillySEEDS. I also create flyers for resident programs, job fairs, job training, trauma support or just a fun block party. I created pitch decks to help secure funding from potential investors. For ground breakings and grand openings I created invitations, event programs, stage signage, graphics and more.
I also serve as the house photographer for public events, documenting PHA residents, as well as dignitaries such as Senator Bob Casey, Congressman Dwight Evans, Governor Josh Shapiro and Mayor Cherelle Parker.
As the sole designer on the team I need to act fast as multiple surprise jobs pop on a short deadline. I juggle designing, proofing, prepping for press and web, as well as coordinating with printers, sign makers, and other vendors.
ICUP Inc.
Created packaging, and products. Worked with sculptors in China to create items such as Ice Cube Trays and Molded Ceramic Mugs. I worked with many iconic licenses. A partial list of licenses I’ve worked with includes: Disney Princesses, Star Wars, Marvel, DC, Peanuts, and My Little Pony.
Unique Industries
Created packaging for both in house designs as well as iconic licensed brands such as Disney, Pixar, and Hot Wheels. I navigated the complicated legal world of safety warnings for small toys and products sold internationally.
Finch Brands
Literally got in the Guinness World Records. There was a city wide contest for a logo the city could use to promote the X Games. My logo won, and they turned the logo into the largest Lego Logo in history. They also created a giant Tastykake Butterscotch Krimpet with the logo.
Outside of getting into the Guinness World Records, we worked with a wide variety of clients: local restaurants, tech start ups, medical field, as well as many Philadelphia institutions such as Academy of Natural Science, PCVB, and Visit Philadelphia. For instance I designed the logo for the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, which with a few very minor tweaks is still used today!
